Delete your Olive account

You can delete your Olive account and all the data attached to it at any time. This page explains what gets removed, what isn't, and how to do it — whether you can still sign in or not.

What gets deleted

When your deletion completes, the following are permanently removed from our systems:

• Your account (email, display name, password hash)
• Every baby profile attached to your account (name, birth date, notes)
• Every event you've logged (feeds, sleep, diapers, weights, temperatures, medications, notes)
• Share links and any caregiver invites you created
• Push-notification tokens for your devices
• Saved preferences (palette, units, reminders, quiet hours, tile layout)

If you are a co-parent on someone else's account, deleting your account removes you from that household and removes the events you personally logged. The other parent keeps their own copy of the household timeline.

What we keep, and for how long

When you request deletion we move your account to a 30-day soft-delete state. During that window your account is unreachable from the app and your data is excluded from every query, but it can be restored if you change your mind — reply to the confirmation email or sign in once to undo it.

After 30 days the soft-deleted records are hard-deleted from the live database. Encrypted database backups roll off on a 35-day rotation, so any residual copies are gone within ~65 days of your initial request at the latest.

The only records we retain longer are minimal billing/legal records if any subscription or invoice ever exists for your account, kept only as long as US tax law requires (currently 7 years). As of today Olive is unpaid, so there are no such records.

How to delete from inside the app

If you can still sign in, this is the fastest path:

1. Open Olive (web at olivestats.com/signin, iOS, or Android)
2. Tap Settings
3. Scroll to Account
4. Tap Delete account
5. Confirm by typing your email

You'll get a confirmation email immediately. The 30-day window starts the moment you confirm.

How to delete if you can’t sign in

If you've lost access to your account — password forgotten and recovery email no longer works, device lost, etc. — email privacy@olivestats.com from any address with the following:

• The email address on the Olive account you want deleted
• Anything you can share that helps us confirm the account is yours (approximate sign-up date, baby's first name, the last device or browser you signed in from)

We will reply within 5 business days, verify ownership through a process appropriate to the request, and complete the deletion. The same 30-day soft-delete window applies.

Export your data first (optional)

If you want a copy of your logged events before deleting, open Settings → Export CSV. The export covers every event your account can read and downloads to your device.
